The fourth fell on Sunday this year, and being residents of SLC, that means all of the celebrations were on Saturday. We dragged the kids out early Saturday morning to all the festivities...and of course I forgot the camera. Hence, the camera pics. After the parade, we went over to our city park where they had a huge carnival, with all kinds of free activities to enjoy. We caught the magician's show...and Paige ended up stealing the show. She caught one of the beach balls that were being passed around the crowd, and he called all the kids up onto the stage who had caught them. Unfortunately, Paige was the smallest, and got pushed to the back of the line, and the he thought she had just wandered up on the stage without cause, so he told her to go sit back down. She was not a happy camper. All of the kids before her had gotten a prize...luckily, someone on his crew told him she was supposed to be up there, so he called her back up on the stage, and did a little magic trick with her, and then gave both her and Syd bunny hand puppets. Needless to say, it was priceless and the girls went away happy!
