Just a quick note to let everyone know how our little Paige is doing. She was diagnosed with RSV on Monday in the ER, but sent home four hours later because it wasn't quite severe enough(So they thought). Tuesday afternoon she spiked a fever and had a seizure while we were at home. We rushed her back to Primary Childrens, and they admitted her to the infant unit after 10 hours in the ER. The doctors said that her RSV had gotten worse since the day before, but also that they were perplexed by the seizure she had gone through. They proceeded to run every possible test they could think of to make sure that she didn't have Meningitis or something worse. The first two days were pretty back and forth. Joel and I were both going nuts with worry. She refused to nurse, and kept having high fevers and having bad breathing 'episodes', but luckily no more seizures. We finally got to take her off oxygen early this morning, and now we're just trying to keep her temperature regulated and get her to drink more than a couple of sips in one feeding. She is resting comfortably now, and we're hoping to get her home by Easter Sunday. They are taking great care of her, so don't worry! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone for your fasting and prayers. It's working! We'll keep everyone posted over the next couple of days. Love to you all!

ReplyDeleteThank you! - but we're okay. My Mom came down from Boise and is taking care of the kiddos so that Joel can be at work, and I can be at the hospital!
ReplyDeleteWe totally know what you are going through, although Paige is much younger than Audrey. It sounds like you had it much worse too. What a scare! We will pray for all of you. You will get through it!
