Avoidance

I've been avoiding my poor blog for too long...We've had a most horrendous eventful week, to say the least.  Joel was unexpectedly laid off from work on Friday.  To say we were shocked and unprepared for this news would be an understatement.  But the good news is that we have each other and the gospel, so nothing else really matters, right?  Well, obviously the job thing matters, but we're working on that.  We are so blessed to have been prompted (and followed through on that prompting) to build up our food storage, so we'll be okay in that department for some time.  We've felt overwhelmingly reassured by family and friends, and more importantly, by the spirit, that things will work out.  Sometimes life sends you a curveball, and you just have to swing a bit further out to reach the goal.  So Joel is extending his search beyond the paralegal field he's been working in for 10 years now.  Wish us luck...and say an extra prayer for us that it's a quick trial!
