The Princess and the Pea

Ellie had the opportunity to audition for a local production of The Princess and the Pea - and landed the part of a Dust Bunny. (Isn't she the cutest dust bunny you've ever seen?) The play was part of the Missoula Children's Theatre touring program. The kids (112 of them) auditioned on Monday, and the cast (56 of them) had 4 hour practices Tuesday through Friday (the younger kids only had 2 hour practices Wed-Fri, but still!). The week culminated with a dress rehearsal and two performances on Saturday. Ellie and the 18 other dust bunnies stole the show! They got to have two scenes, one involving the bunny hop, and the other singing an adorable song titled "Peas and Thank You". It was amazing to see the quality show that 56 kids (under the direction of just two talented producers) came up with in just one week. Six girls from the neighborhood were in the cast - this is a shot of Ellie with a few of her little friends before the show. Congrats Ellie! You did it!
