Haddon's 8th birthday was on Friday. His cold symptoms subsided, so I went to his class that morning to make ribbon book marks with him and his classmates, and then let him play video games and Legos until it was time to leave for Chuck E. Cheese for dinner & fun. (His request). We returned home to find surprise visitors on our porch - Chad and Melanie and their boys Payton and Carson. We forgot the camera until the Peanut Butter Pie came out. Just look at that concentration! My parents and SIL Mandy arrived shortly after that, and the grown ups stayed up WAY too late visiting.
The happy family just before Haddon's baptism Saturday. We were all able to get ready in time for some pics before it was time to go. Shocker! The rest of the Hallberg branch of family showed up from Provo , and we all headed over to the baptism at the stake center.

Does he look any different? Same sweet boy. Brand new outlook on life. I'm so proud of this little guy and the choice he made to be baptised. Congratulations buddy - this is your first official step on the the right path back to our Father in Heaven. Hold to the Rod!**Thank you family for traveling down for the big day. I cannot imagine he is 8! What a great boy and great parents! It seems to take more and more these days to keep kids on the straight and narrow! Party looked amazingly HogWarty as well!

ReplyDeleteI went on Devin's field trip today and we rode on "Mr. Jim's Bus" He told me about going down to visit for the baptism. :D
