No pictures to share from this one - but Friday I got to teach a craft to Haddon's class as part of his VIP Birthday week. Each day of the week it's their birthday, they get to do something special that showcases how special they are. Monday, we made a poster full of pictures from birth to current. Tuesday, he took a bag full of things that he loves (his bear, his sports trophies, a hot wheel car, books, etc.). Wednesday, he took in his favorite CD - the Cars Soundtrack, and they got to listen to it while they worked. Thursday, his actual birthday, he took in his favorite treat, Little Debbie Star Crunch. Of course, last minute, he told me that there are a few kids with peanut allergies who can’t have those – so we scrambled to find something to send for them. We settled on skittles. Thank you Halloween stash. At any rate, VIP week was a success when it finished up with making little egg carton spiders. Haddon has always done crafts with me since he was a toddler, so it seemed fitting that we teach one to the class. They all enjoyed their little spiders, and were excited to name them and take them home. I was excited to be finished working with 25 very eager artists who couldn't quite get their spider legs attached. What fun!
