What a Weekend!

I wanted to post some pictures of the blessing from our oh-so-fun weekend. It started with everyone showing up Friday mid-morning. And when I say everyone, I mean Mom and Dad Hallberg with Adam, Annie, Josh and Julie with German and Baby Eli, Mom and Dad Thueson with Mikey(all the way from Hawaii!), and a surprise visit from Chad. 18 people in all with us included! They all had lunch while I took Ellie to the doc - she had a fever of 103+ going on three days. The doc couldn't find anything wrong, so we (luckily) were sent home with an antibiotic and an order for Ellie to take it easy. She seemed to perk right up once she took the medicine, and never looked back. (Whew, what a relief!) We spent the evening eating spaghetti and catching up. The grown-ups retired to bed at about 1am. The next morning we had to be to the E-center by 9am - and miraculously, all of us were ready by about 8:15 - so we enjoyed a quick breakfast and then headed out. Joel's graduation ceremony lasted 2 hours, and the crew nearly lasted that long! Paige decided to have impeccable timing, and blew out twice within 15 minutes during the ceremony. Joel didn't trip walking across the stage though, so overall we considered it a success. After the ceremony, we headed home to have a BBQ with family and friends. Once things wound down a bit, the women (+Chad) headed to Tai Pan to check out the goods, and then we all relaxed at home. Another late night visiting was followed by a 6am wake up - and yet again, all were ready by 8:30 - so we all walked over to the church building for Paige's blessing. Mom H. made Paige's dress - and it turned out so sweet. Joel gave a beautiful blessing, and after sacrament meeting, we all went home to enjoy a brunch together before some of the group had to head home. The Chester's came over for a visit Sunday evening, and then Annie, Adam, Mom and Dad Hallberg stayed through to Monday. We had such a fun weekend, and are so grateful to have had so much support from family and friends.
