We had a great holiday...which I'm slightly relieved to be done with! ;) The man in red really did find us in Boise, and the kids were genuinely spoiled by everyone who loves them. 
I'm happy to report that Haddon (and the rest of the fam) got a Wii. It was quite the miraculous gift: The day of Joel's work Christmas party, we had told Haddon that they might be giving one away at the party - but since we hadn't won anything notable in 3 years, not to count on winning it. We all laughed a bit when in the meal prayer Haddon asked "that Mom and Dad might be able to win the Wii at the party tonight". So you can imagine our surprise when the raffle turned out Joel's name as winner of the Wii at the party that night! We kept it a surprise until Christmas morning. Woo - hoo! 
Prayers really are answered, and Santa was off the hook. He brought Haddon and Ellie each a sweet razor scooter instead. It was the best of both worlds! To top off the video gaming heaven, G-ma Thueson gave Haddon Guitar Hero and Ellie Dance Dance Revolution. Sydney got her wish, and received her digital camera, and Paige was happy with pretty much anything that she could tear the paper off of! 
Joel is a true hillbilly now, because he owns camo and all the trappings of a true hunter man, and I am the proud owner of the Wii Fit Plus video game, 2 awesome Cricut cartridges, and the Julia Child cookbook. (Looks like I'm going to need the first to work off the pounds from the last!!!) My brother and his girlfriend also moved back to the mainland from Hawaii, which was an amazing surprise Christmas day! I'm currently digging my way out of tons of gifts, and finding new homes for all of them in our house. It's quite a blessed problem to have! Thank you everyone!
After the festivities, we brought Adam home with us to spend the Christmas break. In hindsight, it was probably too much for the kids to be partying for practically 2 weeks straight, but we had fun. Adam and Haddon got to break in the video games, and the girls had a blast playing with their new toys and craft supplies all week.
Since Adam was with us, we got to celebrate New Year's Eve with most of Joel's siblings - Josh, Julie and their boys spent the early evening with us, and Annie, Dennis, and Adam partied hardy through midnight with us...well, ok, we played Scrabble, ate shrimp, and played the Wii. :) We missed you though Chad and Mel!
Joel's parents came down New Year's Day to collect Adam, and spent the weekend with us. Thanks to them, Joel and I got to go on a date last night! Woo-hoo! More on that later. :) At any rate, it has been one long but fun party, and we love that we got to spend it with family....and love that we get to have our well-slept children back SOON!!!!
This holiday truly was a special one though, where we really got to reflect on the life of our Savior, and his atonement. I am so grateful for the blessing it is that we have the gospel in our lives, and that families can be together forever. I got to spend the entire holiday with both the Thueson and the Hallberg crew celebrating the Saviors birth, life, and purpose together during this special Christmas. What a wonderful life!
