Memorial Day 2009

We headed North {{AgAiN - seriously, we just need to move home!}} last weekend to join most of the Hallberg Clan for camping in McCall, ID. It was absolutely gorgeous - and camping with our four kids went surprisingly well. Joel's parents bought an RV, and it needed to be broken in...which we did! We played baseball, blew bubbles, had lots of s'mores, rode bikes, hiked mountains, ate more s'mores, celebrated a birthday, had church in the mountains, swam without swimsuits, and just had a great time! Joel didn't believe me that it ALWAYS rains on Memorial Day weekend...I assured him it always does. Sure enough, Saturday night, I won the bet. Unfortunately, Friday night my sweet hubby and his brother had pitched our tent in the dark of night on a slight slope. For any of you who don't know, slopes+tents+rain = very wet interiors to little tent homes. Poor Chad, Mel, and Payton got the worst of it. But we all dried out thanks to the RV and enjoyed peaceful, exhausted sleep the next night. This just might have to become a tradition (without the flood of course)!

  2. Um, no you don't really need to move back up there! I'd miss you too darn much. Of course it seems we never see each other now, when was the last time we hung out?
